Specific water conservation actions of Sinyi Realty are as follows:

Use Water More Efficiently
Due to extreme wheather, Taiwan has suffered from drought and floods in recent years. The central and southern areas of Taiwan even experienced water shortage that exceeded the level of century drought. Therefore, water resources management has received great attention from people. Eventhough the real eastate service sector is not classified as high water consumption sector, we still listed water stewardships as one of the material topics in response to stakeholders’ requests. We review water footprint annually and analyze water-related risks and opportunities in business operation.
As Sinyi Realty’s main service is real estate brokerage, our water consumption is mainly from employees’ or customers’ daily use; furthermore, we have no manufacturing process to produce pollutants in wastewater. In addition to strengthening internal water conservation measures, we include water resource management to one of the climate governance indicators, setting the target of “reducing 30% of water consumption per capita 30% by 2030 compared to 2017.” The management measures are introducing ISO 46001 Water Efficiency Management Systems to systematically find out opportunities for water saving as well as conducting ISO 14046 Water Footprint verification to follow up water usage and reduction progress.
In 2022, our per capita water consumption, including our headquarters building, operating branches and administrative centers, was 14.7 kL, which was 21.4% less compared with 2017, the base year.

[Note] Due to the loosening of the COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures and the resumption of normal office work in 2022, the increased number of visitors to the headquarters building and branches led to an increase in water demand. Therefore, the per capita water consumption raised compared with the previous year, but it was still lower than the base year 2017.
According to the GRI 303 and 306-1 issued by the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), Sinyi Realty has made the topic-disclosures of “303-3 Water withdrawal, 303-4 Water discharge and 303-5 Water consumption”.
Sinyi Realty headquarters building and all its branches are located in Taiwan. The water is mainly used by the employees on a daily basis and we have no manufacturing process to produce pollutants in wastewater.
