Specific water conservation actions of Sinyi Realty are as follows:

Creating a water conservation budget

Having staff education and training regularly, such as holding the water conservation training of the water chiller unit for operators

Completing the leakproof and waterproofing projects of the top floor and terrace

Making visualized slogans, stickers and posters, and promoting water conservation

Use Water More Efficiently
Due to extreme wheather, Taiwan has suffered from drought and floods in recent years. The central and southern areas of Taiwan even experienced water shortage that exceeded the level of century drought. Therefore, water resources management has received great attention from people. Even though the real estate service sector is not classified as high water consumption sector, we still listed water stewardships as one of the material topics in response to stakeholders’ requests. We review water footprint annually and analyze water-related risks and opportunities in business operation.
As Sinyi Realty’s main service is real estate brokerage, our water consumption is mainly from employees’ or customers’ daily use; furthermore, we have no manufacturing process to produce pollutants in wastewater. Headquarters and branches withdrawal all water from Taiwan Water Corporation and Taipei Water Department. The wastewater is routed through underground pipelines to sewage treatment plants. Therefore, there is no significant impact on the surrounding environment or community.
We use the WWF Water Risk Filter and the WRI Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas to assess whether the water sourcing areas face water scarcity risks. According to the WWF Water Risk Filter, all of Taiwan, including the properties of Sinyi Realty, is classified as low to extremely low risk. According to the WRI Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas, both currently and in 2030, the risk ranges from low to medium,

Sinyi Realty monitors and analyzes water-related issues. Internally, we strengthen water-saving awareness and management measures, implement the ISO 46001 Water Efficiency Management System to systematically identify conservation opportunities, and conduct annual ISO 14046 Water Footprint verification to quantify and track water usage and reduction performance.”
In 2025, Sinyi Realty’s headquarters and all operational sites increase a total water consumption of 88,141 ML, achieving a 19.8% increase compared to the previous year and a 18.9% decrease relative to the base year, 2017.

[Note] Due to the increase in per capita water consumption in 2023 compared to 2022, the inclusion of Sinyi Real Estate Appraisers Firm is the reason. Nevertheless, per capita water consumption still decreased by 17.7% compared to the baseline year (2017).

Sinyi Realty headquarters building and all its branches are located in Taiwan. The water is mainly used by the employees on a daily basis and we have no manufacturing process to produce pollutants in wastewater.
