Sustainability Performance

In order to enhance the competitiveness of the company, we are committed to pursuit sustainable procurement with ESG considerations in mind. We introduced ISO 20400 and re-defined our key suppliers. A total of 132 key suppliers (including 20 new ones) were checked by our regular inspections and irregular visits. 78.4% ESG self-evaluation surveys were collected, reflecting our key suppliers’ ESG knowledge and practices. Due diligence was delivered, and the 2022 performance results are showed below:

  • We checked key suppliers whom we spent more than NTD 1 million, and their acknowledgement on the signing of Sinyi Group Suppliers Code of Business Conduct and Sustainability Terms.
  • Within Sinyi Group, we improved the way of signing the Procurement Ethics Standard by using pop-up window on employees’ network system. Make sure every staff read and acknowledged.
  • To ensure purchasing liaisons adhere to ethics practice, we provide Corporate Ethics Office as the channel for complaints and facilitate in supervision and management.

Out of the 112 existing suppliers, we checked a total of 107 and reached a completion rate of 95.5%. For the 20 new suppliers, all were checked and passed and reached a 100% completion and pass rate.

4. Key Suppliers Work-related Disabling Injury Investigation

Investigate the work-related injuries of the key suppliers within the controllable range of Sinyi Realty.

In order to promote the safety of the labor working environment, we have increased our inspections of supplier’s workers injuries since 2016. In 2022, a total of 58 key suppliers fall into this category, 100% of whom have been inventoried. A total of 794,721 man-hours of labor were performed, during which a total of 13 incidents occurred. Average supplier work-related injury rate was 16.36.

In 2022, most of the recordable work-related disabling injuries were traffic incidents. Two high consequence injuries were workplace confirmed Covid-19 cases, both had taken at least four days of leave. We will continue carry out traffic safety awareness lessons and give regular reminder.

5. GHG emissions of energy survey to key suppliers

Sinyi Realty joined in the Net Zero 2030/2050 Initiative, and we have been conducting GHG emissions of energy survey to our upstream and downstream key suppliers for 3 years.

The goal for 2030 was set to reduce GHG emissions of energy by 12.5% from the baseline year 2020.
