Other Social Engagement
In addition to caring general public welfare matters, Sinyi Charity Foundation is especially committed to the care of elder people, supporting SDG 10: reduce inequalities. We aim for a healthier, a more inclusive society, then we must help the elders continue with a healthier, creative, and meaningful life.
Active Ageing – Gung Ho Project
Sinyi Charity Foundation launched the “Active Ageing – Gung Ho Project" since 2016 to responded to the challenges of aging society and declining birthrates. With the goal of prolonging the healthy and independent lives of the elderly and improving their happiness, it successfully collected ideas across 4 generations.

Taiwan is facing a super-aging society, and “co-existence community" is one of the important solutions to this challenge. With years of experience in promoting cross-generation and cross-field learning, Sinyi Charity Foundation assists local communities to develop sustainable model as benchmark cases.
Vulnerable Care – Dr. Red Nose Project
Sinyi Charity Foundation cares not only about the elderly, but also about the future masters of the country. We support Dr. Red Nose Program since 2016, hoping to bring strength to encouragement through magic performance to sick children, their families, and the hard-working medical staff. The program begins to expand services to nursing home seniors. In 2023, we expanded our efforts significantly. We conducted 250 performances, reaching 8,331 people. A notable achievement this year was the publication of "Taiwan's first research study on how medical clowns improve the emotional state of parents with children battling cancer" in 2023. This research highlighted that parents experience significant psychological distress while their children are hospitalized for cancer treatment. The medical clown service helps by improving the children's emotional state, which in turn positively affects the parents' emotional well-being. We're proud to continue this important work, bringing smiles and support to those who need it most during challenging times.

Vulnerable Care – Art Project for rural elders
To enhance community bonding among residents and to introduce outsiders to the local culture of Guye village, this year we continue to hold a picnic music and sketching event. Children will capture the beauty of Guye village through their drawings. The event will kick off with a traditional folk dance troupe to energize the crowd, followed by a band playing nostalgic old songs to accompany everyone's lunch. There will also be interactive magic shows to engage both the elderly and children. Additionally, activities like hand-throwing gliders and bubble blowing invite parents and children to have fun together.
