The Waste Reduction Performance of Service Carbon Footprint

Sinyi Realty is a service company. Its waste is mainly daily waste and there is no hazardous waste from manufacturing process. Through greenhouse gas inventory, we calculated our carbon emissions by solid and liquid waste disposal, accounting for about 1% of indirect greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, the waste issue was not listed as a material topic and it is disposed of in accordance with local government regulations. Although waste management is not a material issue of Sinyi, we still keep on developing green services and improve operating procedures to reduce carbon emissions of waste disposal during our service process. Compared with the 2015 baseline of carbon footprint reduction, the carbon emissions in the waste stage of carbon footprint in 2022 have been reduced 72.5%, showing our emphasis on waste management.

Organize Environmental Activities in the Communities to Deliver Sustainable Awareness

Implement Disposal Regulations of Decoration Waste in Home Repair Services

The Sinyi Living Center integrates home life services, providing design and decoration, repair projects, moving and other residential-related peripheral services. In accordance with government’s disposal regulations of waste management, we require the cleaning vendors resulting from the decoration and repairs must have the clearance and transportation qualifications of Class C or above to ensure that they meet legal standards.


Small Library of Second-Hand Books in Branches

The circular economy is an important global trend in the current state of eco-efficiency. Sinyi Realty engages in the recycling economy through our daily services and frequent and deep contact with community residents to develop a local recycle to share usage replacing individually owned. Since 2018, we have innovated “lending services”, so that residents can borrow rarely used items or second-hand books from our local branches for free when needed in order to achieve the environmental symbiosis. This project has been implemented in dozens of our branches to make the spirit of waste reduction take root.

Since the waste issue is not listed as a material topics and it is disposed of in accordance with local government regulations, all branches conduct recycling by themselves without collecting statistics. But, in response to the trend of recycling and re-using items, Sinyi carries out recycling actions in headquarters building.

Employees of Sinyi Realty not only do the kitchen waste recycling on weekdays, but also promote the resources recycling to make a contribution to environmental protection. The waste at Sinyi Realty headquarter is divided into general garbage, resource recycling and kitchen waste. The general garbage will ship to the centralized incinerator treatment by the cleaning company, and the kitchen waste will be re-used after being processed. Besides, the recycling items are paper, PET bottles, glass bottles, and iron or aluminum cans.

The total recycling amount of resources from the headquarters building was 7.904 kg in 2022. As there were 794 employees in the headquarters, per capita recycling was 9.95 kg, which decreased by 58.5% compared with 2021. The results show that Sinyi Realty has substantial reduction on recycling resources in headquarters building in order to continuingly devote ourselves to environmental protection.

* The number of people per store is about 10 people who produce less waste. The reason that we don't collect data from branches is the waste recycling depending on the local regulation.
